On Friday May 4, join hike leader, historian, and archaeologist, Dr. Jeff LaLande for an informative talk in the Ashland Outdoor Store. Dr. Lalande will explore the seasonal uses by the different Native groups — the Shasta and the Takelma — who once hunted and gathered within what is now the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. Come and enjoy the talk, even if you are not going on the hike.

On Saturday morning (May 5, 9-2:30 pm), we will hike a part of the PCT near Pilot Rock, gazing back in time to consider how Native groups used this area.

Come and enjoy the talk, even if you are not going on the hike.

No registration is required for the Friday event at The Ashland Outdoor Store.
